The Swedish Championship of sommeliers was established in 2000. Previously, Swedish sommeliers had demonstrated their skills in international competitions many times, not least when Mikael Söderström became European Champion in the 1990 Trophée Ruinart. The Swedish Sommelier Association was established in 1986 and became a member of ASI in 1989.

Château des Annereaux, one of the oldest domains in this appellation, has continued to augment the quality of its wines since Dominique Hessel took over the management of this estate in 2004.

Albert Grivault: a wonderful family saga in the heart
